Visitors to Ford Financial Europe's European headquarters toward the end of 2007 might have wondered about the dress sense of the employees. One day everyone was sporting something pink. Another day everyone was in jeans. Then they were wearing something especially colourful.
These varied fashion statements do not show any lack of professionalism. Instead they are a sign of a staff that cares about the community, as employees were "dressing down" to raise funds for breast cancer, genetic disorders and autism, respectively.
When it came to helping the Parents of Autistic Children Together (PACT), the organisers were determined to make this more than "just another dress-down day." To help people understand more about autism, they organised a display of informational boards for colleagues to read. For more information see PACT's website at www.pact-uk.co.uk
